State President extends best wishes on New Year Day

Welcoming the Lunar New Year, State President Trương Tấn Sang extended his best wishes to all Vietnamese people at home and abroad, particularly to military officers and soldiers on duty in border and offshore areas.
​The Vietnamese Head of State also conveyed his wishes for peace, friendship, cooperation and development to other nations in the world.
 
Recalling what had been done in the year 2011, State President Sang said Việt Nam gained significant achievements in terms of economic growth, political stability, national defense and security, protection of national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and international integration.
He pointed out that difficulties still remain in 2012 - the Year of Dragon and called on the whole Party and Vietnamese people to unite and promote their firmness, brainpower, and traditions in order to attain greater achievements in the industrialization and modernization cause.
